anyone else been through this ugly ugly thing before? how did it effect your relationship with your Ex and your kids [if any?]

Like your Ex before you were married, or the person you're going to divorce? It doesn't tend to do much of any good for either one, though it tends to be worse with the latter.

its a bit better when she makes more money :wtf:

just jerk off in front of her until she relents. good luck bud.

i was very lucky, my X is a wonderful Woman.
Her parents were a lot more douchebag than She ever was.
no children involved, thankfully.
on the other side of the coin i have heard some very nasty tales about divorce.
i wish you the best as you go through this.
please don't lessen yourself to trite, petty bull game playing.
try to make it a win-win so that both of you can move on with your lives.
it may be the end of one chapter, but it is also the start of another.

I didn't know you watched Ellen VAR.

basically its a sign of the times... stressful situations of not enough money to do things, her not having a job, conversations of debt and lack of money, the stresses of bringing up a child.
it is a sort of mutual separation, although i was willing to work at it, but for her it was past the point of repair. she couldnt have been more amacable to be fair. she dosnt want the house, she wants no money from me, all she wants is her clothes, and Jorja's cot and toys and stuff.
she has even worked out all my finances out for me so i know what im gonna need to deal wtih financially in the future.
so i guess it couldnt have turned out better really. it still just sucks tho

Sounds like she just wants the kid and run off. Make sure you remain a part of your child's life! If you two can reach a good agreement on everything, that makes life easier. otherwise, get a good lawyer. now.

don't want to be a negative nancy, but he's right. some divorce settlements end up fine, but a lot more end up in a total mess. be prepared for the worst. it's a tough thing to hear about. best wishes in the future.
