I'm trying to recreate a certain type of sweep that I can only describe as white noise going through a tube or a metal pipe lol. I've heard it on many tracks but the best example I can give is the build up in Leave the world behind. Anyone know what kind of effect is used to get this sound?

they didnt use noise , sounds like they used a square wave or something, and applied the same principles modulated the pitch and res, and added some chorus.

Knowing the SHM and Laidback Luke, I'm almost certain it will be a sample, and a sample from Vengance at that. I doubt these guys are any good at synthesis.

Bingo, I ran some noise through a comb filter and it sounded like a pipe thing haha.

The square probably works too, I'll try that too.
