Description: I have to say I'm a little disappointed when it comes to artist albums this year. I even stopped listening to music for about 3 months, but then I heard Scintilli and it immediately injected a new hope into my musical veins. It can be argued that this is the first great effort by these guys in 10 years - since Double Figure, even though they released one artist and two soundtrack albums in the meantime. They almost completely abandoned hip hop beats and playful Japanese melodies in favour of shiny and glassy, but finely structured polyrhythmic melodies and predominantly more complex rhythmic structures. The whole thing sounds like updated and polished take on their mid 90s Black Dog material, which is more than welcomed at this point of their career. Scintilli was announced almost 3 years ago, and the ending result was definitely worth the long wait. |

Seems like it's mostly a place for record labels to advertise new releases... no real actual user-reviews on there. |

It's all promotional spam, very rarely there's any actual reviewing going on there. Also, the reviews forum is for new releases whereas here you can review anything you like. |

Description: Bought this recently. Released on Rune Grammofon, which has its lion's share of weird music, but this album is much more traditional and easier to listen to than the kind of stuff I've come to expect from the label. The clarity of production is astounding, as is the composition work. It starts off pretty heavy, and as it goes the tracks tends to take up more and more space and then you begin to notice that you've been head nodding like a fool for 30min straight. The last track is especially mellow, easily one of the best pieces of chilled out beaty music in this vein I've heard. One of the few albums where I can say there are no wasted tracks. |

Description: Very nice album from Eulberg. Much more melodic than most of the techno I've been listening to lately, feels well put together, tracks work well with each other, there is continuity in it. However, feels like he could have pushed the boundaries a bit further. |
I LOVE THIS. I've loved this since it came out... Caught him over the summer in Vienna and I thought he was realllly cool live haha. Since then I've been alll about Eulberg |

| Can I revive this one woony? I've been wanting to write some mini reviews lately and I like the format here. It's not necessarily going to be a recommendation and I might have more then one that I want to cover in one post though. I could start a new thread but this didn't seem to be a huge success so maybe we can loosen things up a bit here. |
