I aint digging his new sounds that much compared to his stuff back in 2000/ 2001 thats for sure but i still respect him as a artist and he is making it big so hey why not keep doing it??
right now my favs are pvd/ armin/ ferry as far as this year goes for trance ! |

Yeah... Oakie use to be the . Now he just is ... Poor guy, he thinks he's good still... LoL... He kills trance. Armin is cool though. Tiesto and Ferry too... I'm starting to get into Prog now, it sounds phat. James Holden rocks my world...

There's so much great Trance and great DJ's, yet nobody knows about them, people are fixated on their idols who have become boring in the last few years... |

not totally true, a voyage into trance is good. Haven't listened to much of his other sets, but that one I like. Judging from what I'm hearing, he sold out and went into hip-hop. |

Good on you for sticking up for him with your mates, it is always good to stick up for artists who have made the dance/trance scene what it is today, to people who are not really into trance music.
Times change and trance is all the time evolving Oakey has been at the forefront of the dance scene since 1988 and has adapted and he will again.
He is still a great ambassador for the Trance scene that we all love

yea man and the sad thing was that my friend is a TA a better one than i am in fact i mean 98 - 00' oakey was ripping it up and ripping it well its jus i havent been hearing from him lately and its hard i mean all i do is listen to his essential mix from ibiza in my opinion the best of his mixes period and the best mix ive ever herad in my life. I mean im desperate for some Oakey greatness but now it seems as with everyone telling me about these sets this year its my fault for not keepin up with him enough. |

Dude did u knoe oakey didnt even mix voyage into trace? Sad but true he said it himself that some record company threw it toghether and put his name on it i mean lok at the cover not even oakenfold style and i thought it sucked |
