What's up,
RiZseTh, I don't want to put you down or anything, but your facts are just completly way off. The parties here are growing rapidly, I don't know too much about the underground scene, so I wont try to talk about it. But the mainstream parties are getting bigger with every event, most of them 10,000+ now, my first party that I went to in 95' "22" had at least 5,000 people, and that was in 95'!! There has been just a little bit of a increase in popularity since then!!!
You're right though, 514 definitly is in it for the $$ and not for delivering to the people, unfortunatly they're the only ones with the bank to bring in the big names, hopefully somebody will come along that can get the names and throw a party based on creating an experience for everyone, instead of a higher profit rate.
I wish all the luck to all the promoters coming up, undergound ones and what not, from what Inquisitor
was saying, it sounds as if you go out of your way to make a good party for people, that's really chill and respectful, hopefully you'll be able to build up to make some huge parties with that same vibe!!!

Dude... I don't give a about 514...
The do mainstream parties with 8,000 peeps yeah.They got big names (even if I hate the 4/5 of them) but they can't get a wicked vibe...Take a look at videos like energy 2000 , innercity...Man thats ing awesome parties.
When promotors brings big name only for $$$ you get 514 type of parties. You have to bring them to get a blast , to try to make the best party ever...Each time you do one.
When you said that even in 95 we got 5,000 peeps parties , I agree with you. But in 95 didn't had 1-2 maybe 3 parties a week. So littles parties was really bigger than now , cause less often. At this time big parties were ing nice cause they was done for the love of it...

You're right, they're throwing parties just for the $$, seems as if there doing it strictly from a business sense and not really caring to much about the party itself anymore. But that's exactly what I said on my first posting

The vibe part doesn't happen at every party, they do throw some parties with a wicked chill vibe, "Freaky" and "Celebration" both had wicked crowds and vibes, everyone was super chill and there wasn't attitude floating around. Now Oasis however, they had 2 great dj's out there, 3 even, Max Graham, Paul Oakenfold and Tiesto. That party had the most attitude that I've ever seen, it was all guys that were not there for the music at all, just to try and force themselves on girls. It was pathetic, you could see the frustration with a lot of the females, they were sick of being harassed by people that had they're shirts off and were just trying to take advantage of the situation. I was pissed about that, so were my friends (the girlz, and guys even) but what can you do, the scene is developing rapidly, and not for all the right reasons.
Hey look, trust me I'm not a 514 fan!!!! I've called, written letters, emails, faxed. But they're not party throwers anymore, they're just a business now.
Anyhow.... PSYCHOFROGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little mainstream event getting even bigger all the time but always keeping that Underground little something that 514 lost. It's maybe cause promoters are just like us , guyz who really love music...And I know wath I'm saying cause he's good friend of mine and he's putting lots of efforts in it to be tha best. |

Somehow I get the feeling that parties in Europe have similar vibe to that of 514 parties. What you see on video is not really what's going on.
BTW, I was at OASIS and didn't notice any attitute. I was with a group of my friends, we didn't bother anyone and nobody bothered us.. We just had a great time - and there was a consensus between us that OASIS was the best party ever.
I don't go to raves to socialiaze with people or to pick up girls.. I go to raves to enjoy the music ! I did at OASIS... |

You go to rave to enjoy tha music...right and I go to rave for the same reason... but there was more than just music...cause you can listen music everywhere you want dude.Rave are about music and vibe , that's why they are so different. Having a blast on a ing awesome set is something really nice... but if you add vibe to this set woahhhhh!!!! you get a blast... Imagine your listening to the best set ever and everybody are dancing lightly , no smile and all... and n ow imagine you listening to that set but with the crowd going crazy , smilling , yelling hands in the air on a raise... you sat down on your ass , tired a little bit cause you've dance to much , and every body around don't talk to you...damn this is ty... but if someone as tired as you came and sat beside you talking to you about the party , music , wathever that's ing nice but you don't get it in 514 parties...
It's all about MUSIC and VIBE...

It sounds like you should have a beef with the people going to these parties instead of the promoters.
they cant control who goes to their parties, maybe its just the people there or something like that.
all the promoters got to do is get the venue, the place, the sound system and the rest is up to the crowd. You said that they get big names there, ok these are the same big names that bring down the house in europe etc. SOme one said that the wanted their parties to be like the ones they saw in europe or something to that matter. Well, thats the crowd that does that, the dj just provides the music and track selection.

Yeah theay got big nices trance names sometimes , but frequently they didn't came...
And they got a house background... So even if they throws I don't know , hardcore party they'll get tha same ty crowd...
Arghhhh I hate their parties that's it that's all!
