Hey guys just booked a room the other day for my buddy and I to hold in case prices start going up. I assume with it being spring time and WMC/Ultra prices will only increase. Any recommendations for a first time WMC'er?(other than stockpile on SHM tickets in order to build up my first born's 4 year college fund?) :D
as of right now booked at the crest for thur-tues and since ive never been to miami, staying until thur using 2 free kimpton hotel nights and staying at the EPIC tues-thur. :-) so please feel free to recommend things for the days after the conference week.
Will be much appreciated, down to meet up if at the same events.
Thanks everyone

theres already a thread going here although it doesnt really help you. hopefully we can get this thread merged with that one in order to keep the clutter at a minimum.
you probably could of waited until the official announcement to make your booking. it usually takes the hotels a few weeks to catch on before they hike the prices. thats usually the safest way in case something retarded happens to the dates like last year. although this year i doubt theyll be much fuss so you should be fine. but hey you beat the rush and probably got some nice prices. make sure the weeks leading up you go back and check prices again only for the simple reason of putting a smile on your face.
there isnt much we can recommend yet because well nothing is announced. i guess the only thing you can think about now is whether or not you want to attend ultra. most first timers go but a lot of people also say to skip it. if you can deal with retarded kids on drugs and commercialized sets then ultra is worth it. if you're more underground, save your money and your energy, and just hit a few extra parties during the week. ultra defiantly takes up a huge amount of available party time so if you dont think itd be worth it then skip it.
nice job on staying a few extra days. not enough people do this imo. besides hitting the beach, i always always recommend a day trip down to key largo for some snorkeling action. rent a car and head down there. no need to go all the way down to key west unless you want to spend 2-3 days there. nothing else comes to mind right now, so what else are you looking at doing while down here? what kinda stuff are you into? google around a bit and im sure we can tell ya if something is worth it or not.
hope this helps a bit for now. |
