| Don't have time to do my full review atm, but (maybe it's cuz I haven't been out in awhile) but It's been AWHILE since I've heard music like that before 5AM lol. |

Let me start off by saying it was my first time going to UN, a few buddy's had been raving about it so for me Lutzenkirchen was prime time to check it out. Been wanting to see him for awhile now.
Got to UN around 11, Tone Depth was owning it. I remember how well he opened up for Sasha, so I was expecting great things from him. I assumed (hoping actually lol) Lutz was gonna play similar to the Nature One set, and when I arrived Tone Depth was killing it with some (somewhat) fast tech house, bringing it up slowly.
I have to say, it's been brought up before, but man it doesn't matter who plays after him, Tone Depth is KEY for starting out the night. Never try's to one up the headliner, perfect flow, this guy's track selection is beyond me. One thing I didn't understand was NO ONE was on the dance floor, so being the alcoholics me and my group were, we went straight on the floor. :D It seems like he enjoyed the fact people actually started dancing.
Lutz's got on around 1 I believe, and man oh man, he played EXACTLY how I thought he was gonna play. All around with actual Techno-Tech House. I know i'll never see sets like Preach & Yaz used to throw down back in the day (REAL Techno) but I have to admit, this set reminded me of those times. The bass was chuggy, the kicks were MASSIVE, the tracks were banging, by then the dance floor had filled up, but like Spin said you still had room to do your thing.
When he dropped "Don't Fear to Rock", the crowd ate it up like a fat kid at an all you can eat deep fried bacon dipped in lard buffet, it was madness!
I thought that was gonna be the highlight of the night for me, but when he dropped that track at 16:34 of his Nature One set (SOMEONE ID THAT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!) that killed it for me, the place was gonna implode.
Also one thing (and I go back to comparing the night to Preach nights) i'm pretty sure he was having just as good a time as everyone on the dance floor, I don't think he stopped dancing the entire night!
Overall have to say the vibe was off the hook, the music ALL night was just insane, if you missed out just check out the Nature One set, very similar. I will definitely being going back to UN.
Spent a little too much on drinks inside the place, but it was faking worth it! |
