Can't have a proper listen due to how unbelievably my $2 headphones at work are, but I can say honestly that's one of the best intro's I have heard in years. So moody without being trite, just brooding and bubbling away, begging for that breakbeat to hit and when it does, it doesn't disappoint.
Great work mate. Can't wait to hear it at home on my setup. |

| Has the potential to be a great prog breaks track. I'd say it needs a little bit more than just an outro, though. The second half is basically just a repeat of the first, and I think it needs a bit more variation in that respect. |

| Outstanding beginning, for a WIP. Really, almost stands on its own and definitely has me thinking "action scene"; although I can hear where it needs more completion. Still, have listened to it a couple of times after downloading and finding myself distracted with it. |

| Fantastic work! From the intro, to the distorted leads, to the bassline, everything is so well put together to enhance this cinematic feeling! Congrats! |

Fantastic work.
Although I know you meant it to sound James-Bondy, I feel that (especially the guitar) it needs to be a bit different. My mind is expecting to hear the James Bond theme, but is hearing different notes, and it can be a bit confusing.
Maybe re-work it slightly a bit so it sounds a bit less James-Bond (which you did really well) so that it can be feel less like a James Bond soundtrack and more something uniquely yours
Just my suggestion. |

Having sat on it for a day or two i'm inclined to agree. The brass is actually a little lazy now my ears have had a chance to rest but my samples aren't up to the ripping brass job. I have a pal rendering some for me as we speak as he has some lovely sample sets :)

Thanks EZ
I've got quite a few more ideas for this one now :)

I hear what you're saying. The idea of the challenge was to make it as Bond style as possible, but as I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out as a standalone track I might just have to follow up on your suggestions! |
