To his credit as well the guy speaks a lot of sense.
In video three from the 4 minute mark he does offer some very good advice and wisdom. Worth a watch. |

Good interview.
We'll see how this artist album turns out.
Personally, I hope he sticks with his "Nevermind the Bollocks" Goa-inspired sound. His ASOT 500 set was very refreshing, and he's the last person I expected to deliver something refreshing. |

To help realise his ambition he enlisted a diverse collection of talents, ranging from Jane’s Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell and Shifty Shellshock of Los Angeles rock-rap band Crazy Town to Ice Cube, Tricky and Nelly Furtado. |
And look at them now! |

The sheer diversity of his music, and his eclectic choice of contributors, shouldn’t come as a surprise. |

Paul released a string of superlative mix CD’s, amongst them his awesome New York set for Global Underground – still the series’ biggest seller to date! |
That'd be Deep Dish's GU Moscow actually, unless their Toronto took it over. |

Oakenfold’s restless imagination has been evident throughout his career. His signature can be seen in everything from the early rise of hip-hop and the re-invention of British dance culture to the Balearic explosion and the birth of Madchester. |

In the beginning, there was trance and on the face of trance, there was a void and it was formless. Oakenfold looked upon trance and said, "Let there be bass!"

In 2002, Paul Oakenfold remixed David Arnold's widely popular "James Bond Theme", the song was released under Warner Bros. Records and was followed by the album's next two singles after "Starry Eyed Surprise", "Ready Steady Go" and "Southern Sun". "Southern Sun" with Carla Werner was first issued as a B-Side of "Ready Steady Go" until it was included on Tiësto's In Search of Sunrise 3: Panama compilation with his own remix of the song. |

Don't forget Oakenfold's movie soundtrack work on box-office blockbusters like Swordfish. If EDM had a Wheaties Box, Oakenfold would be its Bruce Jenner. Like a platoon of Congolese guerrilla soldiers, cutting a swath through the forest to the next village full of rape victims, Oakenfold's preeminence shines a beacon through the fog of mediocrity belted out by his lesser contemporaries, like so much detritus lingering in the wind weeks after an Italian street fair. He has struck a chord, so resonant with world audiences, its shimmering evanescence has yet to reach the half-way point of its decay. Could it ever decay? Oh, . I forgot to turn the sustain down, so no. It won't decay.
I'll go back and fix that. |
