Picking up exactly where it left off from the first release Dubmetrical returns with another top quality package to satisfy the appetite of any music fan. France’s John Smthg is handed his own EP this time consisting of two original tracks, Mental Palace (remixes by Daniel Mehes, Mark Rogan and Leak) and Trade Park.
Mental Palace original mix kicks of the EP laying down more flavoursome Techno beats expertly crafted together serving up a fine piece of rolling deep atmospherical spacey tripped out track.
Keeping up the pressure and taking the EP in an even harder direction Dubmetrical’s very own Daniel Mehes fires on all cylinders putting real beef into his remix further displaying his ability to produce a high standard of many genres of electronic music, a real Techno peaktime stomper this time. Then the first of two label debutants takes up the mantle, Northern Irelands Mark Rogan takes Mental Palace in an exciting energetic direction with a no holds barred full on in your face belter followed by Netherlands rising talent Leak who has produced a remix which is so difficult to put into any sort of category but rounds of the EP perfectly giving the entire package a sense of balance.
And if that’s not enough to suffice John Smthg closes out with another original track Trade Park, a slow builder more in the vein of a Tech House style track with a bouncy bassline and bleepy synth riffs which bubble along ebbing and flowing, breaking and building keeping the crux of the track in full view.
Techno, Tech House call it what you like Dubmetrical will be 1 of the labels that will continue to deliver on every level, bringing you the best new talents and the freshest new sounds pushing the boundaries of electronic music and further enhancing its reputation.
