How does one get around the stupid YouTube copyright issues that prevent it from showing on mobiles or certain countries etc. I guess I just want to know if there are any tips to avoid copyright issues of live concert recordings?

Any help/tips are appreciated.

If you recorded it, and the club and DJ gave you permission, then what could be the issue?

When you upload it theirs a box you can check to make it available for mobile.........at least this is how it used to be, not sure about right now.

I'm in the process of trying to circumnavigate that... and failing. Just when I thought I won, they came back with emails saying "just because you were there, gives you no right". I even wrote that I have verbal permission from the venue, artist and his management. They don't care. The permissions have to be in writing, and if I understand it properly, you need written permission from the people who own the music and not the DJ spinning it. I think there's no possible way to win. I've been trying for the past year to get my videos "monetized" (revenue sharing) but am failing thus far. It's the same process with the copyright problems as well. I believe if you can get one, you can get the other. Most of my videos fall under the copyright problem, but they will let them go as long as YouTube puts up the adverts over my vids.

The death of YouTube began when google bought it and this is just 1 more nail in the coffin...
