Need suggestions.

Hello. I'm new to these forums and to this genre of music in general. I generally listen to metal (such as Opeth, In Flames, Tesseract), underground hiphop (Sage Francis, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Dose One), prog rock (Porcupine Tree, Dreamtheater), and a small amount of more mainstream rock (Coheed, Chevelle). I don't like usually like pop music, although some of it is tolerable. The only types of music I really, really cannot stand are 80s anything and country. My musical tastes are kind of all over the place compared to most people I know.

I'm interested in getting into trace/dance/electronic music but there is so much material out there I have absolutely no idea where to begin. None of my friends are experts on the subject.

I used to like Prodigy quite a bit in the mid-late 90s. So I started from there when I began looking. So far, what I've found that I like the most is Above and Beyond's Group Therapy album. I've listened to a lot of deadmou5 but a lot of his material seems to be hit or miss for me.

Any suggestions as to where I should go from here?

well I politely suggest not to start off with trance. tiesto would be the gateway for novice listeners but that was awhile back. start off with something commercial but quality like the crystal method - vegas.
