Finally, the Mehari Remix of Nordlicht - Within Each Of Us
It has been finished for about 5 weeks, but I haven't had the time to upload it yet, please listen and review

Not bad at all, my only nag would be the bass drum is kinda not your typical bass drum, and the snare drum. I think the bassline could be tweaked a bit more.
The synths are very nice, the one at the beginning reminds me of Ralphie B's synths, very clean.
What Equipment/Software did you use to create this? |

Thanks for the reply, DC. I use a softsynth/sequenser/sampler called Orion Platinum. Regarding the bass drum, I admit I'm trying to set a new standard for bass drums in the normal trance:D
The bassline is hard to tweak. As the bass drum is very deep and long, I can't let the bassline interfere with the drum's freq, and in this case, I try to make kind of a anonymous bassline, not quite hearable, although there |

If Nordlicht thinks the remixes are good enough they maybe will do a remix album, or something like that. In any case, I'm glad I made this remix, it really added a new view to the track |

hey mehari, i love it man, very good. amazing for orion. i habve had pro, but never really got into it. sounds alot like a reason song.
Anyways, i think ill play it on my radio show. 9/10 my man!

pretty killer.. I like the bassdrum quite a bit actually, and the synths are very reminiscent of ralphie b. Very good work altogether.
what's that "singing" sound... is that Delay Llama? (the singing monk plug in :D hehe
also: are orion's synths DLL files? if so, do you think they could be cross-platform?

hehe, the singing is from the original "within each of us" made by nordlicht. If you not mean that sound I don't know what sound you mean
The synths in Orion are very built-in
But remember, it's not the size that counts, it's how you use it
i used to have many songs online a few years ago, on "Traxinspace", but when it died, I had to restart uploading and as I'm on a 56k I can only manage to upload new songs |

WOW WOW WOW.
If this remix was available to buy on vinyl I would. Defo give it 8.5/10 refreshing non-cheesy top trance, a good effort all round.
I like the deeper base drum, the wide beat allows for easier mixing.
Love the beginning synths and the main rift could prob do with a marginal increase in filters.
Is it ok if I put it on my radio station? |
