Kind of piggybacking off of the SHM at MSG, It appears this one is also playing arenas. This is a very weird choice for a booking, as there is virtually NO EDM culture in CT. We had Tiesto outside in Hartford in 07 and 08, but those drew 2000 people max. Even though I am not a fan, he should have been playing MSG over SHM, he might have been able to make a legit run at selling it out. Prices are crazy for this show, 81 for floor and either 51 or 61 for lower level.

There was no more than 40 people at Darude in Hartford a few months back. The sad thing is, it was actually a pretty fun night and Darude played a pretty cool set.

EDM is dead in CT, unless you call our -tastic Dubstep/Electro scenester mob EDM, which is an absolute disgrace to the name of Dance Music.

Yeah but, a lot of people like Deadmau5, and he has a pretty big following now a days - A lot of people that don't really like any other kind of EDM are Deadmau5 fans, so there might be more people there then you think.

*Edit* Yeah I remember those Tiesto shows, I was actually at both of them haha - I remember a decent amount of people being there, but now Tiesto is a lot more popular then back then too - Pretty curious how many people he would draw in CT now with the scene the way it is there.

Oh yeah I'm pretty sure your right - I don't know if they were there both years or just 1 of the 2 - Also for some reason I'm thinking that it might have just been either Josh or Dave solo, not them both, but I can't remember :toothless

I think it was just Dresden at the second tiesto show, the one with no power that most likley lead to him not coming back. I liked constitution plaza as a venue, is that Guy that promoted the tiesto shows still around? Pretty sure gabriel and Dresden, Benny benassi and pre super huge above and beyond all played in Hartford around 5-6 years ago as well.

Yeah, looks like he does a Radio show now or a mix every so often or something, I really didn't look at the site much but here it is:
