Breaks, while great on it's own, it is an absolute doorway to so many genres, for me it was (mind you I'm young), Breaks>2 step>Future bass> dub(Notbro)step, and that's what's so great about the whole, not 4x4 scene, it goes in so many directions, giving such a potential to mixes, fact that you can make a good switch from MJ cole to a Joy Orbison track. It never ever gets boring

Instead of making a new thread I'll just hitch up a tent here & give a few bumps about what is becoming my favorite genre of EDM.
Biiig fan of Kid Whisky right now, got a lot of listens going into his album Room. This stuff is just so goddamned fun for me; the timbres just bump & hop all over the place, the sampling ranging from a capella, opera, rock, & jazz (likewise for the rhythm). This music actually makes me like jazz influences (a hard feat). A fair deal of glitchy micro-edits, too.
