If the Guv really wanted to make a whole lot of money, they should indeed have him play in KH, and then offer lower-priced tickets to be in the mainroom, where the show in the other room would be broadcast to. :D |

Maybe his last show @ the Ricoh Centre didn't sell well enough for a major profit as previous years in Toronto. Venue owners tend to jack up the price once you return for another venue booking.
The overhead to put on a show like that is seriously massive, ticket pricing may have been too high and venue time usage was indeed not suitable for this kind of event. That's my guess why he finally came back to Guv. If overheads were too high @ the Ricoh Centre, relocating the show to Sound Academy would be more profiting then being hired @ Guv in regards of profit and revenue margins. Since we all know Tiesto is hungry for the green lately ...
I remember watching some footage posted on a thread here with his last show @ the Ricoh centre, the general flooring area was only 75% full and the seating crowd was all scattered all over the place. I did not seem to be sold out show.

Guv can't profit much from his overpriced booking fees. He makes 1000x more putting on his own productions in large venues.
Tiesto played @ the Guv years ago in the main room during a weeknight, they opened all the other small rooms to broadcast the music. |

i think the best time to have seen Tieso live was back in early 2000 - 2003 or so. I saw him at outdoor venue, 5000 people, back in his Lethal Industry days - it was just wow! |
