I agree as well. And it's because genres like House are the money makers right now. Everyone shifts their sound to that area. Not sure if I can really blame anyone either, though. |

I agree... , everyone knows armada will buy itself a #1 spot in a useless poll by a mag no one reads and one that ran Bar Mitzvah an Wedding DJ tips/stories for most of it's miserable existence.
It's just like so many other underground things - starts out pure, idealistic, lovable, hush hush secret handshake sort of a deal, PLUR and blowjobs for everyone in attendance.
Next thing you know, the cash men get a whiff of it and brands it, markets it, rapes the out of it, dilutes your E to the point where it is anything but, and then asks you to rate the nice lemmings that are throat ing your once loved scene, while chanting sweet nothings like " me, I'm famous", "I'm going to this club in the ", or "THIS. IS. A. STATE. OF. TRANCE", while blasting "when love takes over", "ONE. Iwannaknowurname" or "in and out of love" into your bleeding ears.
...and you look at your once happy place, burned and pillaged and wondering - perhaps it time to move on to Smooth Jazz and start telling kandikids to get off your lawn? |
