I love the original but I'm not feeling this remix.

not feeling the remix or the original.

big props on the sound quality, def doesn't sound like a metallica mastering.

It would've been a lot better if it didn't keep repeating certain parts of the song - "make you real, make you real, make you real"

Compressed to Hell with no dynamics to speak of?

well to be fair this seems pretty compressed. its a bit sad: i think i've read metallica's album "death magnetic" being slated for some of the most gash mastering on multiple occasions. dat volume. im trying to dive more into mastering as time goes by, i dislike having no control and potential dislike over something done on my tracks.

Agreed. Pretty decent remix though. It's really hard to take such a well known track and remix it. You either have to support it with a few sparse elements or change it up completely. Elite did a good job with beefing up the original.

Ahh I love Metellica. I just wish they called it quits after their S&M album.. they would have at least left on a more positive note. Their newer stuff isn't quite as inspiring, but at least they've evolved.. unlike other well known metal bands.

For the fans out there, they have a new project with Lou Reed. Interesting stuff, but I wasn't too impressed with the sample they released.

I didn't listen to this remix; I was referring to Metallica's brickwall sound from one of the group's recent albums.

I'm probably biased but when I heard this a couple weeks ago I thought it was mint (being an ex metallica fan)

this is a edit with shady time stretching.
