Seven people went on trial for manslaughter Tuesday in Italy, accused of failing to predict an earthquake that killed more than 300 people in L'Aquila in April 2009.

Italians are hardly the most rational people are they? Their most famous one used to go down every pipe he could find looking for a girl.

Failing to predict an earthquake? :wtf:

This is a weird quote though.

quote:
In particular De Bernardinis said in an interview with a local TV station that the scientific community was "reassuring" him, and that the numerous tremors were in some ways a good thing, as they released seismic energy.

Who would be saying "reassuring" things like that? I'm no seismologist, but that's kinda strange, given my very basic knowledge of earthquakes, etc.

I think it COULD be fair to hold them responsible depending on how much they get paid. If you want to charge someone with high consequences for when they up by the same logic you should give them high rewards when they do something right.

That's piss-poor logic, and you know it.

Well think of it like this. Would you rather have a million tonnes of water dropped onto you in one large sum or drop by drop. Even if its the same amount of water one is just annoying and one will probably kill you :)

Its pretty obvious that the common Italian has not advanced much further than the barbarian hordes that destroyed Rome and set back humanity a few hundred years. Looks like they still don't understand modern concepts.

Idiots.

I would be lying if I said that wasn't a part of it, but even if she was unattractive, even if she was a guy I would be mad (though if she was from any other part of this country I probably wouldn't care as much).

But I have always had a distaste for the Italian people in general.

I find that italian people don't know how to form queues or show manners but in general it's just funny to watch them go about their everyday business with grease falling off. And some of their women are hot, but mostly italian-candia-brit-merican-australians, not the full ones :p

Come on, Nou, you're being childish now! This is just like an Anti-American dunce saying Mericans are stupid just because they're born in a particular place
