Also wanting to know what's going on up here...would love to come up for NYE.

fact of the matter is that its very difficult to plan coming from out of town for NYE to the clubs because theyre lineups are always announced pretty late for some reason. pacha gives a few weeks notice at best. guess we'll see this year how it works out and what D36 has planned as well.

Nothing worth going through hell @ Herald Square for, that's for sure! I don't know how it was last year for BlkMarket since I didn't get to leave my apt until 4 am, but I do know that that whole area is completely blocked off by a sea of ppl for a few hours after the ball drop. I learned that the hard way my first NYE living in NY in Hells Kitchen :o

Chances are BlkMarket is where it's going to be at ;)

I have come to loathe NYE in NYC. Even in "less populated" areas the whole city is a cluster (ie: 2 years ago my friend rented out a space in soho for a private party. One would think it would be a little more sane, but NOPE, I was wrong!) Not to mention going to the same bar/club you were at the weekend before and paying 10x's as much. UGH. I hate to say it, but I have learned to love being in a borough on these fine evenings. ;)

yup it's def a big cluster ...suprisingly i never really went out new years eve clubbing or to a bar (can you believe that? :toothless ) but friends who did told me the same, you pay too much, service at bars since they are packed, maddd drunk idiots, drama etc etc

i only went out once back in like 2002 to a house party in rockaway
no lie that was pumpin, something you would see in a movie like american pie,old school, super bad etc etc def fun times

other than that i would stay home with my fam or with some friends
last few years i skipped it totally and went to bed at 10pm to wake up in the morning for afterhours ha ha ha

prefer spending NYE with close friends in a quiet setting nowadays. lots cheaper to get loaded and usually more fun too!
