Audio Kontrol 1, channels have different volumes

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone encounter this problem, and have a solution?
I have an Audio Kontrol 1 and the left channel is softer than the right channel and it is especially noticeable at lower volumes, and if I unplug the TRS cables from one channel and swap them the right channel becomes softer.
I've tried using channels 3 and 4, and the same problem occurs. It is not software (the headphones are prefectly balanced) and also happens in any software I use with windows 7
The problem goes away at higher volumes and I think it fixes itself, but at times I need to monitor at lower volumes, I have the same problem.
I am pretty sure it is the hardware, but am wondering if there is something else I can try to fix this |

| I have the same card but no issues. Install latest drivers or take it back and exchange it for a new one if possible. |

| Nope, can't take it back. Bought it online over a year ago. I doubt it's the cables since it's going from a balanced output to a balanced input. Also, the problem is just duplicated into another speaker when I swap the left and right outputs so it's nothing to do with cables. I do find when I turn the volume on my interface to about 25% it goes away... but it is way too loud at night since the walls are thin and don't want to bother my neighbours. |

No, and I'm afraid it is just a service job. I was just hoping that someone would have a "hey, I had the same problem and I solved it using aluminum foil" type of solution. :D
I guess it's not too bad, since I mostly use headphones when things need to be quiet. |
