Nu-metal godfathers Korn have announced that their next studio album will be produced entirely by dubstep producers. The band have worked with Excision, Datsik, 12th Planet and Skrillex, who they also collaborated with at Coachella earlier this year.
The album, The Path Of Totality is set for release on December 5 and the first single 'Get Up' which was produced by Skrillex has already been released.
The tracklisting for the album is yet to be announced but songs set for inclusion include 'Narcissistic Cannibal', 'Burn The Obedient' and 'Kill Mercy Within'.
But what do you think? Are you glad to see dubstep infiltrating all corners of the musical sphere and American rock bands getting in on the act? Listen to their single 'Get Up' produced by Skrillex that was released earlier in the year below and let us know your thoughts.

Raine Maida was on the edge this morning and he mentioned that the new OLP album they are working on had some dubstep elements too.
Endgame
I'm not surprised. Dubstep has a lot of raw, rock-like elements to it. I see a lot of bands substituting a bass guitar for a big saw wave.
Prodigy and NIN opened the door (commercially) for bigtime electronic elements to be OK in the rock scene, and the love/hate popularity of dubstep will propel it forward.
I've also heard that at many dubstep shows there are crazy mosh pits. Confirm/Deny?

Dubstep is like AIDS we just haven't found the cure yet... but were close.

It's a pretty smart move by Korn. Washed up band hops onto the latest hot trend that's been stealing metal fans away. Definitely going to make them some money but the music will no doubt be .
The Rattler
God damnit, KoRn you suck now. You suck so much that it hurts me to remember how awesome you used to be, how I listened to your damn songs almost every single day when I was 13-16.
Damn you Jonathan Davis, you broke my heart too many times.

And they used to do this...
Shame... Used to be HUGE KoRN fan, saw them at lest 5 times, Family Values tours, etc.
After Issues, really didn't follow them anymore. Follow the Leader was probably their last decent release.
