Currently on vacation here for a week. Anyone know what the dance/club scene is like and where to go??

Theres an afterhours place called Asylum that brings out legit acts on a weekly basis. Mostly techno/tech house names. It's surprisingly legit for a club in hawaii. Don't know about anything else though.

Asylum is a member only club. So if you are not a Hawaiian resident you have to e-mail the club and get special permission.

Club is usually open 12:30am-7:00pm. The club does not serve alcohol. However if you are a Hawaii resident and a member of club Asylum then you can bring in your own alcohol.

Asylum serves alcohol :wtf:

I didn't know anything about it being members only either, although I went with my promotor. If you're into the rave kind of parties check out http://www.oospot.com/

We went to Cafe Sarang for an EDM party in May and it's a karaoke bar and pretty dead.(there were only three kids on the dance floor the whole night and they were practicing shuffling) But it sounds like they're trying to build it up. We would have loved it if John Beaver was there that night!

Asylum is legit. Small, underground, in a warehouse area. I had a great time there back in February.
