Fruityloops 3 *URGENT* help

Hey everyone

I pretty much just use fruityloops to create my loops and then sequence them in acid pro but now I have encountered a rather big problem. The loop I want to export changes its tone as it loops around and when I export it it only exports the first cycle and cuts the loop out. If this doesnt make much sense then look at it this way.. its only exporting 3 seconds of the loop when I want it to export say, 14 seconds. What i thought might fix this is using a number of patterns so it will make the loop longer but when its still only just exporting the first part.. please help as this is extremely vital to a track which I think could be quite amazing

do you have this problem when you play your rhythm with the Wasp plugin? i have this problem with this particular softsynth, that when i make a rhythm and export it, it cuts some notes out at random times... and i don't know how it can happen.
you have that problem also with this plugin?

Jace - have u made ur loop in one pattern ? or have u made several loops and sequenced them in the playlist ?

well, it sounds like thats what uv done and when uv exported it, uv told it to export the pattern and not the ''song''

i could be totally wrong but it sounds like that could be the prob..

Tell Fruity to render the Song, then go to the playlist and put your loop there. You might need to put an empty Patytern spot ahead to get fruity to keep rendering after the "Column" your pattern begins at.

D_G: ive only done the loop in one pattern.. i thought that might be the problem, coz im not too sure how to make them into a 'song'

how do you go abouts in doing that?

if you press 'enter' on yourstep sequencer, you'll see a playlist window popping up. the pattern you're in at that moment should be lit a little bit more than the rest. you should properly name it according to the likes of the loop to remember what it was ;)
that way you can select new patterns and make new loops... and in the playlist you'll have to draw lines, how long you want the loop to play and when you'd want to add patterns to the loop.

hope this helps a bit ;)

Read the manual guys. Its out there. We should be focusing our efforts on hard things like, "Hey how do I automate my Free Filter so that if I add and delete patterns in the playlist the automation stays in synch with where I want it to be" (answer is don't use main automation, just blank patterns named the effect you're doing, start when the changes start, and have the effects recorded into them).

Damn, that would have taken me a while to sort out, but it does seem pretty obvoiusly seen as its an ''automation'' ;)
