'From playing his first ever
gig at the legendary Blue Monkey in Sunderland, over 20 years ago, DJ
eXcel has become one of the music scene's True Legends. Self-taught
from the age of just 16, his popularity soon grew and the passion and
love for the music he not only played but produced, was heard every time
he performed.
From the beginning of his journey in the North East
of England, it wouldn't be long before he would be performing in
Ibiza... and he did!! In 1994, DJ eXcel appeared at E.D.E.N on
The Prodigy Summer Tour... that same year he also playing at Mayday in
Germany for some 40,000 people. Paul returned to the Party Island of
Ibiza again in 1998 to play at Amnesia and once again produced an
outstanding set. The DJ'ing was not the only talent Paul eXcelled at...
Paul's need to please the crowd is evident and never plays a
pre-planned 'set'.. he will soak up the atmosphere, feel the energy from
the people and play! DJ eXcel has the ability and true talent
that simply takes your breath away.. his mixing skills amaze and have
earn't him the respect of his fellow DJ's the likes of Carl Cox, Stu
Allen and the people who really matter.. the crowds that attend the
events up & down the country - Uprising, Dizstruxion, Dekadance,
Rave Ja Vu, R-House... to name but a few!'

Excel's Second release on Atomic comes in the form of 'Dreamdancer' and 'Hydroponix'
Clearly ignoring the old saying 'Quality not quantity' this man is conquering both at the moment.
Working tirelessly in the studio to bring you quality beats at a pace that keeps up with today's fast moving generation.

Dreamdancer creates an unrivalled atmosphere that is seamlessly driven along with a kick drum and bass that will make the building shake!
A push and pull on the emotions, the keys and pads lull you into state of ecstasy only to drop you back into the raw 4x4, bass and twisting synth.

Second on the release is 'Hydroponix'.
Featuring an iconic oldskool stab, a touch of breakbeat in the breakdown and an unforgettable lead flourishing with piano licks, the progression of this track truly is a thing of beauty. Defiantly a tune for all ages of raver!
