While cooking dinner tonight, I tossed on an album that I hadn't listened to in quite a while: Sigur Ros - Takk... A big fat smile plastered itself across my face as I recalled the times I would listen to it with a girl who had come over and eventually start making - usually by the same point of the same song. Back in the high school and early college years it was always the same. A girl would come by to have some beers/hang out and I'd toss on that album or Death Cab For Cutie's Transatlanticism for background music.
It's a bit different nowadays, depending on the girl really. I haven't listened to either of those albums with a girl in a while. The last time a girl and I listened to Transatlantacism together will likely never be topped by me, so I don't plan on doing that again. That's the memory I'd rather keep. It's also why I rarely drink champagne anymore.
Creating a thread about music to makeout to would be awfully boring though, so why don't we widen the scope. What sorts of things do you guys (and gals) find yourself doing often in these sorts of situation? Even with a significant other - what are some small things you find yourself doing to set atmosphere or a tone?

TBH I probably would have done that long before. Why would I want to date anyone who doesn't think efficient public transport is imperative to a productive and modern society?
Also I have never heard someone use the term making alone for making out... That just sounds odd... :conf:
