My gosh....i've just returned from a private party thrown by a deoderant company at the guvernment nightclub in toronto where sander kleinenberg was headlining. Best of all, it was free. Here is my story, 10:30pm (sander went on at midnight) me and damndirtyape are standing around talking and sander walks by. I brought my nubreed 4 cd to get signed....he happily signed it then asked me if i liked the compilation, i said i loved cd 2 and yebo and he goes, that's a fave of mine. So i asked him, was he making a new gu double cd soon, he said, should be out...early 2003. See it was the second time, i met him because i ran into him after his set in march 2002. He did not play the usual boring progressive that most ppl accuse him of but i do think he must play different styles to different parts of the world because certain places like it certain ways. He played bangin house, trance with weeping strings.....some of that stuff almost went into ambiant and some other stuff which i have no clue about the genre. All and all, a very nice night and sander kleinenberg was great especially this time and also last time. So now if my stomach holds out....it's johan gielen tonite and many of us, have told the dude to drop kiss (airscape remix).

Glad you had fun...Sander doesn't usually dissapoint. It's great that he can incorporate so many genres that well...can't wait for his next GU cd. BTW, I would die if I was seeing Gielen and he dropped 'kiss (airscape mix'.:D

Also, since the party was thrown by a deoderant company, did they hand out free deoderant to the crowd and tell them to try it...well, anytime I've been at a club I've always wished they would do that.:p
torontotrance
yup.....handing out stuff as you left.

Like it really matters.....nubreed 4 was great and i'm sure it will be another great cd then i can go buy it then get him to sign it. Very nice guy, happily stopped and signed my cd then talked to me for a bit, most deejays will keep on walking if you call their name.

It certainly won't be another Nubreed...

The idea of Nubreed is to give lesser known quality DJ's the opportunity to show their talents.. No DJ will do two Nubreed's.

So it'll be most probably a 'regular' GU.

Sander is technically one of the best out there. He is also a master at blending genres. From Progressive house, Progressive Trance, to Breakbeat, he never dissapoints :)
