What's the purpose of buying tracks online? (pg. 2)

Because sometimes I just want to be in my underwear at home and get the track fast. It's convenient. For my part, there are tons of great techno tracks which aren't in digital though.
This seems to be heading slowly towards a .wav vs. vinyl discussion. |

Replace "wav's" by "ebook". That's exactly what my colleague who ownes more then 6000 books says about ebooks.
Personally I rather would choose a 320kbps mp3 over wav as in most situations when I'm listening to music I'll not be able to hear the difference at all. |

That last statement would be true if you listens at home or make a mix but playing a 320 vs a WAV actually makes a difference in a good sound-speaker setup in a club. |

You're just full of more and more as days pass. You think club music systems, or festivals are axed on sound-quality? You think regular DJs buy .wavs?
You apparently haven't got the slightest ing clue about hi-fi audio. |

Well i thought you'd rip the vinyls to wavs as soon as you get hold of them?
Anyway is it a good idea to rip from vinyl ----> wav and using them to mix on the computer/cd-players? |

As I said, no. If you wanna use Vinyl, play Vinyl. Or just buy 320 mp3s. Or bend over and pay for .wavs if you feel like you have to. |

If you're anal enough about sound quality to buy WAV (honestly I don't think it matters unless you play on a friggin Funktion One system) you really shouldn't play vinyl rips. |

The problem i use both vinyl and a dj midi-controller, you should read my first post. And i do care about quality, i guess im spoiled about it since i have bought vinyls since the last decade.
But that's not important, it seems i can't mix them both. The midi-controller is crude and i can't have it between my Technics like a single cd-player. Damn why did i buy the midi-controller in the first place?

Beatport. No it doesn't cost as much but it's not far away. It's stupid! I wouldn't believe it as cheap as Spotify or other music streaming services but it's ridiculous high. |
