Not sure that's relevant because I think it's a significantly higher standard of education than the woman. It's not like only men are going through higher education. |
Oh my bad, I misunderstood you. I thought you meant higher standard of education as in University Degree, not a direct comparison of schooling level compared to the woman. |

My girlfriend is already established in her career field making a high enough salary to support a family. I still have a year of school left.
We've discussed that if she was to get pregnant, I would be the stay at home parent and take care of things. Being as I'm in pursuit of a career in writing, it might work out perfectly.
It doesn't hurt to be a guy that knows how to cook and obsessively clean. It's 2011, and the economy has only added to eliminating gender roles in an (average) family household.
"House husbands" FTW! |

Oh you KNOW that I was going to be all over this.. lol. I have always wanted to be a housewife, and I enjoy being one, but I feel like I should add it is a lot of work to be a GOOD one. Anyone can sit on their ass all day wearing sweatpants and watch ty soap operas. I take care of my 2 kids which is a lot of work in itself, but also spend hours everyday cleaning the house, cooking, doing laundry ect. I do all of it. Eli works long hours, so I take care of everything else, with the exception of hom BBQ'ing and giving our son his bath and putting him to bed. If eli's had a long day at work, I'll put out clean clothes and get a shower ready for when he gets home (he works in dirty plants most the time). No one does my job better then me, I couldn't pay someone to do it. And I don't take it for granted that eli makes enough to support our family while I stay at home. When the kids are older I do intend on going back to work. |
lol look at me on my ing high horse. i forgot i posted this. clearly a moment when i should have gone outside for a cigarette instead...if i still smoked. :( |

Nothing wrong with taking pride in your work, especially when it comes to your children.
I mean, unless your kids turn out to be utter cretins like OrangestO. |

Thanks for continuing to make mention of me in your posts. I'm internally flattered. |
