| hmmm that looks familiar. I want to say The Trial but I dont remember that large of a book in any shot. The low camera angles are classic welles but someone could just be doing the same thing. Its not The trial right? |

nope.
first, a hint (as the movie has under 5k imdb ratings) - there's a cult, more oriented toward the literature on which this film is based and the body of literature surrounding said work of literature, associated.
and now, a second hint - the style is 1920's horror, but the movie was shot in the 2000's.
