Vers3:
Reactor Vers 3 by David Lovas

Vers3 Notes:
Added Piano - rid of synths previously present - mixed sounds around a little better added some swooshes and what not - edited some drum loops.

Vers2
Reactor V2 by David Lovas
Vers 2 Notes: Added a thicker kick drum (as suggested) some synth leads, added a pad with the kick sidechained to it, and edited some drum loops. Added a 16 bar buildup modeled after the 8 bar buildup i previously had - both are used. Added Automation of synth filters, as well as more filter automation on the drums - the kick now has a low pass filter in some areas. take a listen :)

^^ ill be mastering the new elements with more care tomorrow - it sounds a little flooded... also atmosphere (swooshes and that stuff) is next on the list

Vers 1
Reactor (FL Studio Version) by David Lovas

Vers1 Notes:
Created in one day - programmed all drums (all were created by altering samples - not one sample was left unedited)No reverse samples used - all basic clap / snare sounds.Programmed all synthesizer patches as well.Mastering all done by me.

nice one. I like the sounds you've chosen. the melody is nice. the bassline sounds cool as well. I might try a new kick but thats just my taste. I think a bit more automation and variation could bring the track to life a little more. overall I like. If you have a chance I just posted a track as well and it could use a little honest feedback.

Hi D Lovas great stuff as Vancover you could do with a hard driving kick Drum , You could still keep the one you have and just put the second one behind it and just use the top end of the Kick , To give it some punch ........ Add some sweep's , crash's and swooshes .... To introduce new things coming in and going out ... Structure is the key ...... This can be a huge Track !!!!! Find a track that is very close to the style you are creating .....Have it in a Audio channel if you can and just use it as a template so you can see where things are introduced and taken out ,Crashes and sweeps etc ...... Great work ........like is said this can be a "huge track" .....Scott Millz

once again thanks for the feedback - i was planning to throw some of that stuff in - starting with some filter automation for the synths, and then i could get some noise sweeps - i'll post updates here, but once again thanks.

I will look forward to hearing the finished track .......... :)

I liked the way you mixed those sounds, the song itself is really good.
One thing that I can give you as an advice, you could play with some reverbs to make the atmosphere more interesting, but so far your track is promising.

thanks - means a lot. I'm rendering an updated version right now - i added a more punchy kick - some synth leads, and a pad with the kick sidechained to it.

I also edited some of the drum loops a bit - and added a 16bar buildup in addition to the 8bar i had previously

i'll post in around 5 minutes

You should definately add some punch to kick. all Try EQ:inq 50-100 HZ area and give it a big punch to stqand out! and try to Overhear your base too whit the kick, then try to EQ base out of the Kick, you really dont need those low freqs what your base right now has. You can kinda eliminate at minimal. >80hz area greatly! Cuz now the base is taken over the kick. Use an good EQ! sometimes the DAW:s just wont do the trick.

Nice melody btw!! this could be big if u just cut it down (lenght and repetative parts) and mix well. Awesome job!

Sounds really mainstream stuff. I don't like it.

Technically wise, the volume of all those higher sounds (especially percussion, hihats & piano) is too high. Second, try to do some mixing, because the mastering doesn't help anything if all channels are mixed in bad way.

Plus, try to make something else with that intro, it sounds way too generic. Try to be unique! ;)

Otherwise, I'd say this track has potential.
