Lately I've been thinking more and more that I need a credit card for emergency purposes (and to help build up my credit a bit more). I know there was a discussion on here about credit cards a year or so ago, but I wanted to hear others opinion on cards, which ones they have and they like/dislike before I jump into getting one. I'll be honest, a credit card really freaks me out, but it seems like as life goes on I really can't skirt around not having one anymore.
Ultimately I want a card that can help me with travel and airfare, since I already do a lot of traveling to begin with.
So, anyway, pros/cons of these little plastic cards? |

| check the fees on them to make sure they suit you and make sure you have the funds to pay them off before every purchase. Doing so in full each month will definitely help your credit score. |

Yeah, I've always believed in the whole 'if you don't have the cash for it, don't buy it'. I heard you're not suppose to pay the card off fully because it doesn't help your score. |

I don't know fully, but if getting into debt or paying more for stuff is a 'good' way to build credit, you'll excuse me if i have none! |

What kind of credit card do you use? Do you have a good credit score? I bet it'd be pretty easy for you to get a loan on a house of your own. |

I have no credit file. I do not exist in the system.
