They deserved every bit of the beating. This wouldn't be so one sided in the media if the cashier hadn't served a sentence for manslaughter (when he was 17 or 19) and was let out just last year. THey even charged him with using a lethal weapon.
Despite the fact that he was behind the counter, he was doing his job in trying to scan a $50 bill (yeah, the lady got pissed because he was scanning a $50 bill of all things), and stepped back and moved back as the ladies jumped the counter. Then they went after him and hit him in the face. So he grabbed the rod and starting defending himself and beat them down. Like they deserved. But he's the bad guy in the media in this case. |

| Poor guy, instead of having his employer stand behind him and backing him up, they quickly terminate him. Obviously this was quickly done to avoid getting sued, (I think they will still get sue). However, these woman jump the counter and beat him first, he needed to do all that he could to defend himself. Unfortunately for this guy his criminal record will come back and bite him in the ass. |

i have watched this video over and over and smiled every time I see it just because the beat down is hilarious. I bet they did not see that coming when they decided to double team him.
That being said, it becomes a crime when you keep hitting them on the ground.
Sadly for the employee he was on parole for killing his roommate so as soon as he picked up the bar and used it as any weapon (even for defense) it became a crime.
I really hate this though because here was a guy who was working as he is required to BY LAW and gets attacked and he defends himself against an attack from two people who are obviously prepare to use excessive force. He loses it while in the process of defending himself and now he will pay with probably 20 years in jail.
The only thing he could do to not go back to jail would have been to take the beat down from these two idiots while everyone else in the store stood around and do nothing.
I have read that the $50 bill was indeed a fake as well. |

| People go into a completely mental state when having to defend himself. Even though it was maybe excessive, at the moment he might've genuinely still felt threatened and hit them again when they tried to get up. It probably happened to him way faster than it happened to us. |

She acted like a complete idiot and threatened a random stranger.
She's lucky to be alive honestly imagine if it had been someone who was completely unhinged and ready to snap. |

| I stood up and clapped, this guy did what every person that works retail/restaurants has ever wanted to do. He honestly can easily win this case if he claims he was scared for his life, and seeing how he was near a fryer, it becomes even easier. Mickey D's always get robbed, how should he know those two ****s didn't have a gun? whoever charged him with assault, those two bitches should go to jail, not him. We live in a society where women are equals to men, I don't see how you can not charge them with anything? If this was two guys going at it, this wouldn't be an issue (especially if the other guy was black, you media!) |
