Looking forward to this, though I'm not sure how much of the remakes I'm gonna enjoy thoroughly since I've never been a fan of the concept of remaking anthems. |
I hear you... and I also have quite two sided vibes with all the remakes. I have carefully selected some less known gems from the past 20 years to hopefully introduce the great originals to a new audience. Hale Bopp is a more obvious one, but Sun Down and Hot Trigger are less known goodies from 1993.
| quote: | The album comes equipped with a beautiful 40 page book, that takes us into the history of finnish clubbing and electronic music scene. Featuring interviews with 20 finnish club legends such as Alex Nieminen, Lil' Tony, Mr.A, Proteus & Tab and some ultra rare interviews with the likes of Sam Inkinen and Eliot Ness. These indepth interviews were conducted by DJ/journalist Erkko Lehtinen. The book - designed by Niko Nyman and Jani Isoranta - is visualized with photos from Finland's most talented club photographer's collections from 1991-2011.
This here is not just for Finnish buyers, right? |
There are two versions of the physical album: Universal (mainly for Finland) and Solaris (for rest of the world). Only the Universal will include the 40 page booklet. The Solaris release has a 8 page visual look into my past 20 years. Anyone outside of Finland can naturally order copies from the finnish stores like Street Beat, but unfortunately the stories and texts are in finnish so you might need Google translator and some time to fully enjoy the book:) |

Oh, okay. Well in that case. :p |
This particular version has been three years in the making. Hopefully that shows that I don't take re-visiting 'Unity' so lightly;) |

Really looking forward to this. Knowing your philosophy and previous works, this should be really good. I'm really hyped to see Sun Down here, being a chronic Eye Q addict. :)
I heard that "2010" version of Unity, that thing is proper. Very.

Win.
It would be great to see a 12" version of the album in the future too. :) |

Armada Shop? :nervous:
If you have an ounce of self-worth you should by it directly from the Solaris shop when it appears on there.
Have you not read the title/contents of this thread? The human race really worries me sometimes. |

I am aware and not a fan of the armada things at all. But the man asked where he can preorder. Unfortunately, that site is the only place i could find with that option.
Solaris site doesnt even have a shop, or i missed it. Of course I want to buy things from the places that provide the artist with the most revenue, and i surely wont give armada a cent. Thats why i havent preordered it. I'll have to wait for 11/11/11 and see how the things are then. :)
Link me to the Solaris shop if there is one. :conf: |

Fair enough. I was in a bad mood when I posted that! It's just annoying how Armada is the only place you can pre-order it, even before the official channels get their act together.
On the front page of the Solaris website you can buy new releases in CD format. Or click 'Discog' to buy from the back catalog.
But I usually use the Solarstone shop for my Solaris needs, which carries digital and CD releases also. |

| Thanks for the links, guys. I kinda threw up in my mouth when I seen Armada Shop. I'm going to wait until I can buy direct. This release should be a good one. |

Just out of curiosity, what's so bad about Armada? I mean the result is is the same after all... it's the same album no matter where you have bought it from. |

| Just bought the download version on play.com for £1. Seems remarkably good value. |
