"Twice as Proper" and their founders:
Twice as Proper is a New York City Based Underground Techno Events organization. Shadi & Craft co-created the movement "Twice as Sweet" which then became "Twice as Proper Sessions". With an impressive over 200 events and counting in the past 4 years alone, it is now well established in the NYC minimal techno scene. With quite an illustrious list of guest DJ bookings in venues across Manhattan & Brooklyn, there is always something exciting and different to expect from the events. In 2010, Twice as Proper also hosted 8 events in Playa del Carmen (Mexico) during the winter, while keeping regular NYC events alive as always. 2011 rides on this wave, as last year was fantastic for the two artists, bringing International tours in 5 countries, international radio shows, podcasts, music productions, TV coverage, soundcloud recordings listened to in over 71 countries, new fans and friends. Craft & Shadi have been a DJ duo since 1994 on those legendary Technics 1200's. Then followed the years of CDJ technology and mixers with effects, always keeping it dark, deep, dirty real serious. They now often perform live mixes with the ultimate Xponent controller, with many built-in live effects. They go on with explosive sets, chopping' up loops and samples, all while in the mix. The result is always "Massive". Craft & Shadi promise to rip it Proper. No crap.

- BRION VYTLACIL (Future Music / East Village Radio)
Combining all aspects of dance music into his constantly evolving sets Brion Vytlacil has placed himself as a maverick in the New York nightlife scene. Having played in the city for over ten years, his first gig was a seven an half hour set at the famed OPEN on the West Side.
He has opened with and set the tone for numerous hot spots. His residencies lasting for years at a time. OPEN for two years (sometimes the whole weekend), Highline for three years, the Stanton Social for three years, and Soho House's first season being the most prominent. His night with Roisin Murphy (Lead singer of Moloko) broke attendance records at Cielo. Venues large and small; uptown and downtown; his sound fits, molds and heightens the atmosphere. APT, Posto, Mansion, Night Hotel, Filter 14, China One, La Zarza, La Vie and many more have all benefited from his unique sexy sound.
His sound! A very European approach, with music coming from all corners. Having managed record stores for ten years he saved the best for himself and uses it to create a smart, innovative set that reaches as far forward and back as his taste allows. Currently his focus is on bringing the underground minimal scene forward by mixing it up and slowing it down, bringing the future into a space by layering it with classics from the past. Three words? Taste. Innovation. Intelligent. Never pop. Never Hip Hop. Always good.
His talent converge in two distinct points that win him praise over and over: the ability to choose the right tracks; and to assess and play a room the way the room is supposed to sound.
Brion's unique approach has him flying about for private gigs on an international level. Playing from the top of the Tower Bridge of London, to mansions in Palm Springs and the Hamptons, from chateaus outside Paris to a palace warming in India in 2009!
Brion Vytlacil is also the mind behind East Village Radio's ever growing Future Music program which highlights his personal music taste and that of his guests. On air for three years and with over 1000 live listeners a week from Budapest to Australia, South Africa to California his music is the world.
