Things to do in Montreal

Hey guys,
My girlfriend and I will be in Montreal the weekend of Oct. 28-30 and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for things to do? I'm going to the Habs game Saturday night, but other than that, we're open. Not really looking for a party weekend (although I notice that Villalobos and Luciano are in town), but more of a site seeing and cultural experience.
Thanks in advance! |

visit the old port, it's romantic and has a Europe feel
walk on Mt-Royal street between St-Laurent and Papineau (est-west)
walk on St-Laurent and St-Denis from Sherbrooke st (south to north)
Go to BOTA BOTA an urban spa in the old port, very cool
check out Parc Lafontaine
gor for a nice dinner, drink too much, and be tempted to come to Luciano after! |

- Old Montreal
- Mont Royal (for the view of the city, there is also the view of the Big O and Beaver Lake)
- Plateau
- Quartier des Spectacle (not really sure what is going on around there right now)
There isn't much to do in this city, all I can say walk around and discover it.
Places to drink...
- Else's
- Bily Kun (nice spot and you can drink with an ostrich head above you)
- Le Sainte-Élisabeth (great for happy hour)
- Whisky Cafe (far from everything, but really nice inside and a nice list of scotchs)
- Barmacie Baldwin (depending when you show up, you will have a nice time waiting in line)
Plus I have no idea where you are from, but stop off at Fairmount Bagels and get some bagels :D |

| Man actually this topic can help me, I'm moving to tampa in around a month, And I would LOVE to know great places to eat food, in downtown montreal and a bit further but not to far, as in if I can make it by public transport hopefully. |

go watch ppl throw up, get raped, beat up or arrested on Saint Laurent after 3AM.
If the weather is warm enough, maybe rent a Bixi bike and check out the fall scenery, you can download the app if you have a smart phone. Go do the Old Montreal like everyone else is saying here, great restaurants, scenery. |

For a nice romantic spot with the girlfriend I'd highly recommend
Portus Calle. Portuguese Resto on St.Laurent street.
Outstanding service, dishes are Fresh & Top notch, very european, classy, romantic & comfy. I'd say my best dining experience in the city in a very long time and I'm not a seafood lover at all. We went with a sampler of various Portgeuse Tapas $55 each (7) selected by the chef. A little pricey, but well worth the experience and value. Up there with Mylo's imo, and not nearly as costly. Will def win you some points with the old lady. Reso's needed.
