So, I'm new to this chat business, but I figured I'd try it out since this is NOT Facebook. Anyway, where I live, there is NO ONE that I can relate to. I haven't met anyone that loves trance the way I do. What am I supposed to do? Go out to shows n like that by myself? I feel so alone in my world and I wish I could share my time with someone like me. Any suggestions on how or where to find people worth talking to?

Yes, that is exactly what you are supposed to do. You're not going to find these people who share your interests unless you venture out of the basement.

start the scene, my man. find friends, distribute music, set up gigs. I find that wearing short-shorts on stage helps to attract attention.

Exactly. Go to the show alone and MEET other people like you. No shame in that...

If you're ever in Montreal I'll show you my penis. I asked for a tattoo of a dragon on my pen0r but the guy ed up and gave me a Christmas tree.

Great for the holiday season but somewhat difficult to explain the rest of the year.

What if you're an introvert?
LAdazeNYnights
how old are you?

check the nyta subforum. there are lots of events in nyc, obviously. i'm in LA currently, though I'm from Jersey. i'm not sure what kind of events are going on in jersey, but i see talk of them occasionally in the nyta section. they might mostly be 21+ tho. if you aren't 21, you'll have to get your fix in the city (venues like roseland, even pacha often have 18 or 19+ nights with good djs)

as for being an introvert - i'm embarrassingly introverted myself. you just gotta make it work for you, if that's how you want it to be. otherwise try to be more extroverted. i don't mind going to parties on my own at all (often i drink too much when that's the case, but i have a great time regardless)
i feel where you're coming from - few of my friends have ever had more than a passing interested in edm. when i'm home in jersey i have 1 friend who's always up to check out parties in nyc, as he used to be a trance head, and we have a few other friends we know from meeting in nyc or even locally who usually are down.

these are all good neccesary steps, here is a list, for clarity...

1) find the nearest dubstep scene, emo kid scene, alternative lifestyle scene, postoffice kids, crackhead mob, crazy bar...

2) listen for dubstep songs, and when you find one that's tolerable, be like, yo this is good trance...knwowing full well it is dubstep or just xyz edm...enjoy a life of filth, drugs, and monotony you wish you could slow down but are barrelling through at speed of a 18-wheeler

Going to assume you're not trolling.

When I first moved to LA, I only had a handful of friends here and none of them were into EDM/nightclubs/etc. So I found TA, which helped me find events, and I started going out by myself. It doesn't take long to make friends in the EDM scene, people are normally pretty friendly.
