This party was ridiculous! (in a good way). Few friends hyped me up for Prosumer the wkend before and im glad they did. Listened to a few of Prosumer's sets and wasnt totally sold....yet still went.
I went in with no expectations and left the place with my jaw trailing behind me. I think the last time I was so fulfilled musically is when Anja Shneider played at wrongbar
The venue is sick. Literally someone's place turned into a loft. Makes for a great vibe.

I was a little put back by the $30 door cover, particularly given how early I showed up (11:30) but this party was definitely a throw back to something that I've not experienced in TO for a long time. And that's for better and for worse: great atmosphere of both old friends and new faces, stiff free pour drinks all night for only 5 bucks, proper house music, a great outdoor space...but also, steep cover, kinda sketchy neighborhood and a single washroom. I had to really force myself to leave as the hours ticked by - the music just kept going and going and simply did not get boring.
Prosumer is playing in London UK on Feb 18 and I think I'll have to go...nevermind catching a set at Panorama Bar. I've never heard him play, just bought a track or two of his over the years, and he really impressed.
Highlight for me....there's nobody to love, me....somebody tell me, how could there be nobody, nobody to love, me?

im still having a hard time qualifying what I heard on Saturday. It was a mix of house, deep house, soul, jazz, and baby making music. Sexy stuff all around lol

He played a nice mix of stuff, and mixed it up often enough to keep things interesting - but not so often to break a flow/groove that he was building
Normally I'm not a big fan of some of the things he played (vocals, jazzy, soulful) - but the way he mixed them / progression of the set had me dancing to things I normally wouldn't - and to me that's a mark of a good DJ, presenting me music that I normally would ignore and making me dance my ass off to it.
Decided to venture out to this at the last minute - it wasn't in my plans for the night, and glad I went out.
Great location also - a nice walking distance from my place.

Man I'm still reeling from this party, one of the best I've ever been to, to be honest. It was my first proper loft style party and I was fkin blown away!!! Not to mention Prosumer ripped it hard. Here's to many more of these, I'm definitely gonna try and hit every single one of them, and the Mull party looks cool, I'm in!
