LCBO Summerhill and Queen's Quay are the two best branches for whisky (and most other things). Summerhill's tasting counter (inside the clock tower) has much better selection. Almost worth the trip itself. |

Go here:

Do store search, works great. I've only seen that one and the Nikka Yoichi for $110 for Japenese whiskey in the LCBO. I'm sure there's some specialty shops in the States you could grab from if you're ever in a major city.

So true. Recently I've found a couple at the one in the Manulife Centre LCBO (55 Bloor West) that weren't stocked in either. Not sure why but perhaps going for that "I love to money" Yorkville crowd?
They scrapped the tasting counter at the Queens Quay location though. Was definitely a sad day. Overdue for a Summerhill trip though and I think you just gave me the required motivation. |

I figured the flagship store would have whatever was available. Just didn't know if anyone knew of other possible locations. I'm not familiar with Japanese whiskeys but want to get to know them. Thanks folks. |

The most uncreative and overrated whiskey there is.
In my opinion :toothless |
lol. it was part of sampler pack (Green, Red, Blue and Black label) that cost like 70 bucks at duty free shop.
I think Johnny Walker Gold label is a good buy for the price :p
I'm not very fond of peaty tasting scotch so Johnny Walker is fine with me. though i'm always up for suggestions |

Where do I begin...?
Go buy a Cragganmore. Start there & lemme know what you think. From there I or Deletefromusers can probably walk you through a good 100 or so without a repeat. Without peat. |

If we did this I'd be all over it. Might I suggest Via Allegro. 1000+ scotches. Not to mention the only complete collection of the Macallan Fine and Rare collection in the world. They even have 4 or 5 bottles from Glengoyne (a personal favourite). |
