I think the trick is that the body is shown from the front but the face can both be half a front view or a side view. So at first glance you will see the entire thing and based on the body your brain decides "front view". If, however, you stare at the face for a while the brain starts ignoring the information indicating its a front view and switch to seeing the guy from the side. |
