He was making over a million a year, wrestling. People have done alot dumber things in order just to chase something that they thought could make them alot less money. Whether you likei t or not these guys are athletes and take a beating day n and day out for a dollar.
I don't watch wrestling, I did as a kid. I had fun watching it and it was a big part of my childhood same with hockey, football and soccer. I grew up and dropped all the other sports and just kept soccer around. But I think I would be just as shocked if I saw Wendel Clark who was a childhood legend to me in this same predicament at this time.
