For me, it's about dance, though not your regular formal dance, but something that closely resembles Trance Dance, a kind of intuitive, trance-like dance. Though this sort of thing is almost exclusive to raves and some people think it's crazy.
A lot of people don't care about dancing though and those who do are mostly into formal sort of dance. Stuff like shuffle and jumpstyle. Others really only like raves because of drugs and associated crowd interaction, and majority is really only into worshiping DJ (as a producer nonetheless).
So, what is it that you really like about raving? What has kept oldies interested and what has attracted new generation?
I've put the poll just for fun. (edit: erm, where is the poll? edit2: okay, there is no poll) |

this. Also, having good times with friends, venting, having fun, meeting new people, and chilling in general.
I dance ..normally. The crowds are pretty normal here, practically nobody cares about the DJs, unless they are megastars. |

| Mostly to dance to music I love, if it's a DJ or night I'm really into. If I want to just get wasted, have a good time with friends or meet people, I'm more likely to go to a more "normal" nightclub or bar or wherever. |

| dancing and having a good time, and if its a good soundsystem getting to hear the tracks as they should be heard - also inspiration for trying to make new tracks |

I rarely go out ever, but when I do, I would go to just hear the DJ. We're at an age where everyone has heard all the hawt tracks. People would listen to a radio DJ and go out to hear what's new back then. Any jobber can do that now. Promos are leaked God knows how many times. I'm looking forward to hearing a personal set from the DJ. I don't care if it's old, new, popular, or underground as long as the music speaks to the DJ. If I wanted to hear the latest hits, I could go on soundcloud and download some bedroom DJ's set, but I am pretty sure I can get a unique set from a personal DJ set.
Lastly, if I go out, I do it to support promoters, artists, etc. because $1.99 getting watered down through distributors, retailers, labels, remixers, etc. isn't even going to pay for anyone's lunch. |

| I usually decide to go at the last minute which is indicative of sudden restlessness and boredom. I am trying not to be as impulsive.:) |
