BIG TINGZ A GWAN!!!
I know I posted this in the Deadmau5 thread already, but it's such big news, it deserves its own thread.
All this talk about the importance of the Deadmau5 concert/party @ the Skydome has not only been noticed on the forums/boards/Social Media within the EDM community, but it's also been noticed by the country's largest concert/events promoter. So much so that they've hired Ryan Kruger as managing director of a new Electronic Nation Canada division. Many of you might be familiar with the name (Ryan) as he's the force behind Destiny/WEMF, etc. & has been a main player in the SCENE since the early 90's.

Live Nation Entertainment has hired veteran Canadian electronic music producer Ryan Kruger as managing director of a new Electronic Nation Canada division.
Kruger joins Live Nation after running since 1992 Destiny Productions, where he produced over 600 concerts and club dates, mostly in Toronto.
The Message in Live Nation's Q3 Earnings: Breathe Easy
"With Destiny being a pioneer of the electronic music scene in Canada, it is personally rewarding to see the nation's largest concert promoter fully committed to the world-wide culture and excitement that is coming from electronic music today," Kruger said Monday in a statement. |

I'm assuming it's a spin of their existing name 'Live' Nation = Live bands, Electronic Nation = EDM artists? I dunno tbh. It's a division of Live Nation. They're the largest concert/event promoter in North America. In simple language, they throw all the big concerts you can probably think of, of every genre of music. |

I hope this means we get more Afrojack and Bloody beetroots performances.
Ahhh I'm kidding, that's awesome news. Hopefully some large scale raves go down. Or a medium-scale festival maybe?
That'd be nice.
If anyone who matters is reading this, everybody in Toronto likes Sasha, John Digweed, and Hernan Cattaneo, k? Thanks! |

Festivals please.
After hitting up a few this summer, that's the only way I want to party. Outside and during the day! |
