That must be a Giant thing. The times I've been there was for other promoters and there was hardly any asians and the girl to guy ratio was about 1:1. |
They also share the night with Limelight Group I believe, which are the promoters that do AVEC. |

| It also felt like more of a casual venue like HOB as opposed to a club |

EDM + OC = yes, you should expect a lot of asians but I don't mind that at all
I've seen them take credit cards at the bar
Trannys? Really? I should look closer next time :)
For Christopher Lawrence the ratio was close to 1:1
Next event I'll be there is Gareth Emery; we'll see how that is. |

You didn't and I never said you did. I just asked a question that you chose not to answer, which thanks to the country we live in, you are free to do.
:D
What's your favorite movie?
Most people would respond to that question with their favorite movie, but maybe you hate movies?
I didn't say you hate movies, I just asked you for your favorite (a question) |
Always trying to cause trouble :tongue3
Anything Kurosawa, Chaplin or Kubrick put together. Doesn't get much better.
I wouldn't say the rich Newport Beach kids that bought bottle service were my favorite people in the world that's for sure.
I've met some amazing people during our time there especially the staff who I became very close with and honestly I will miss it a bit but I'm very excited about our move.
It's only negative if we choose to view it that way and I don't. I'm all about new beginnings. A change of scenery will be nice. :) |

Hello there. I've been trolling the west coast section since I plan on moving out there very soon. There is something that has sparked my attention from these forums. Although, I take absolutely no offense, but, do you guys not like Asians at EDM events?
I did attend Avalon for the first time during Carl Cox and noticed a lot of Asians, appearing to be almost my mothers age, acting and dancing unusually. They did seemed weird but had no effect in my clubbing experience. I spoke with another (normal) Asian about it and she said that they creep her out. Just saying, not all of us Asians are 'washers'. ;)
Also, there needs to be more proper events in OC and less of the DJ's that consistently appear in Vegas. |

I think it's more of a playful joke than anything else.

Yost is great. I just wish it wouldn't end so early.
Wish they would bring in some Minimal! But then no one would show up. >=D |

Limelight staff also does the guestlist clipboard = boo
It took me 5 tries before the douchebag could believe I was on Christopher Lawrence's guestlist. He kept trying to give me the "guestlist is closed" speech and wouldnt listen to me just b/c I was with a buncha Asian girls. WTF! |

there is a difference between (normal) asians and "washers". What you saw at Avalon were "washers". I personally feel that anyone can be a washer... it just takes a lot of drugs to do so :) |

| Clubs need to step up their game and get rid of the paper list. They should be on this, http://vipdoorlist.com/ |

I LOVE Yost!
The main bar takes cards and there is a $20 minimum on cards. They usually have about 4 other small bars around the venue and upstairs if it is open (I'm guessing those may be cash only) Parking is not bad at all. There is a structure on Spurgeon between 4th & 5th that is less than 2 min walking distance from Yost. Most of the time it has been free parking, i think I paid $4 one time.
Also, for NYE Benny's set is 12:15 - 2:00 a.m. according to the flyer. |
