That is the absolute last thing they are.
Toronto is cold place. I have found that unless you are a foreigner asking for directions the majority of people have their nose in the air.
Reminds me of that Coors Light billboard that was out in Vancouver "Colder than most people from Toronto". I had a good laugh when that came around. |

I lived in Edmonton for 5 years and Toronto for the last 14 and can honestly say this,
1. They are jealous.
2. Most other cities are small as and boring
3. Toronto is full of snobs
4. Nobody from Toronto really gives a what the rest of the country thinks.
5. There are a lot of hicks in the west. |

Don't hate on me for saying this but I'm pretty sure the reasons (true or not) for hate can be summed up with:
-Torontonians think they're better than people in other Canadian cities or at least think they live a better life
-Torontonians only really care about themselves and have no regard what goes on elsewhere
-Torontonians think the rest of Canada revolves around them their actions
-Torontonians cheer for the Leafs
-Torontonians call themselves Torontonians |

it's funny that all thing torontonian is actually general human nature qualities, esp caring about ourselves only :)
again and again the snob comments make me laugh so hard - you guys really need to visit my neck of the woods in Ukraine and/or Russia :) people think you're mildly retarded if you smile and say thank you and hold doors for others, when you go into the store and sales clerks act like you owe them something and yell at you if take too long to decide on your purchase - omg, I can go on for hours
personally, I did not see a difference between Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto in how nice or not nice the residents are
and just to add - most of the time, if not ALL the time, the rudest people on the street, on the subway, in the line anywhere are the immigrants - and I can tell you that as an immigrant myself :) |

Some people i have met from Toronto throughout the years randomly always come up with this: "yo i'm from Toronto"...expecting some kind of tap on the back or a cheer... lol

i got treated like royalty in the ukraine.. so i dunno what funky is on about.
And i even held doors for people and they said "specivo" or however you spell it :D |

Toronto IS the center of Canada. It has the largest population, and economy.
Also, our girls are super hot. We have the best range of women from all over the world, much more diverse than any other city in Canada. Standing at King and Spadina on a summer day is awe inspiring.
People hate on Montreal, because it is in Quebec. Quebec gets preferential treatment from the government, which is why I hate Quebec.
We really should have more respect for citizens from rural areas. They work very hard in brutal conditions to help sustain a city dweller's way of life. |

What amuses me about Toronto, no one jay-walks and I get dirty looks for that. It is like I threw a wrench into the system :haha:
What gave me a good laugh, is when I was in Toronto last and someone asks me where I was from and I was like Montreal. He was shocked a person from Montreal would visit Toronto :haha: |
