Yes, but it wakes people up, including the guards outside which pisses me off. |

| I'm liking the new skills picked up from the Greybeards temple. I have been busy as hell at work this week and haven't had time to get back to it. Tonight it's on! So happy with this game. |

Man, I really want to get this but I need the video card for it.
Anyways, co-op CAN work in an RPG. Just look at Fable 3. Fable 3 was the most casual friendly RPG out there, that said the only thing got right was the co-op. It was loads of fun. |

:tongue2 I didn't see it. Should've known there would already be a thread, but this subforum is pretty dead...
Do you guys still play? What level(s) are you and what are your thoughts in general?
I think it's pretty sweet. My laptop is a bit too ty to really be running a game like this but it works fine on low settings. I'm level 13 now and have been playing as a melee based character. Got my first house some time ago but idk if i'll bother getting any of the others. My friend was over here last night and he ran around and killed a dragon before leaving. I haven't been able to find Lydia since he left [though I gave her dragon bones + scales after killing it :(]. I really like climbing up on massive mountains and then running down them sideways at full speed. lol
I haven't dug too deeply into the main quest - just finished speaking with the Greybeards, recovering their thing, and some other . I've finished maybe 8 other quests and have another 8 active + a ton of miscellaneous tasks. Been raising my enchanting and potions as much as possible (good sources of revenue too).
It's too bad there's no co-op. 2 of my other friends started playing at the same time as me and we all would've really enjoyed that :p |

im level 41, done thief/assassin/mage/city quests. now doing the main quest to finish the game off.
definitely my fave of the elder scrolls (started with daggerfall) but i still think they could've done a better job with the loot and number of enemy types. having the same character model, just named differently, was a bit disappointing.
still prefer the witcher 2's story/characters (or indeed the gameplay of divinity 2), but overall still an excellent game. |

this is my first of these games.
one thing i don't really like: how a lot of the npcs are dynamic. that is, they don't have the same stats throughout but instead change as you do.
also, you're almost done with the game and only level 41? i thought 80something was the max. is the game that easy that you can beat it at such a low level?
any tips for somebody newer to the game?? |

i think the main level cap is in the 50s? that's when you stop being able to choose new skills (the constellation stuff) but you can still level up and get stronger in your abilities til 60 or 80? i forget.
im sure there's SOME stuff im missing along the way, but i have been pretty thorough with the main stuff that was hand-crafted (ie not generated by the quest AI).
you mentioned that AIs level up around you and you're right, which is why you can "finish" the game at many different character levels, because the game tries to adapt the difficulty to whatever level you are at. of course you never really finish the game because it will keep generating quests for you.
not sure i have any advice really, just play whichever way gives you the most enjoyment :) |
