Never knew Moonman was one of his aliases. First Light was one of my favorite trance tunes back in the day.

I'm a big fan of Ferry. He always brings a lot of energy live. His harder sets back in the 03-04 "Punk" days were a lot of fun.

I love the "Once Upon a Night" compilations. Very dreamy stuff. His stuff this year hasn't been that great, though. Decent mainstream fare, but that's it.

As for his productions, I'm a big fan of "Rock You Body Rock", the Gouryella stuff, "Insolation", "Sweet Sorrow", "Where Are You Now (Moonman remix)", "The World '99 (Moonman remix)", and his remix of Adagio for Strings. There are a lot more, I just can't think of them right now.

I loved "Made of Love", it was just way overplayed.

Made of Love was good I agree. It's just I think the lyrics got too repetitive. But I agree with you it was good :D

I was in High School when it was released... wow. Now I'm a sophomore in college.

Wow, a whole two years ago.

Forgive me System-J.

Although this pertains to nothing important I thought back on what I listened to in high school and compared it to what I listen to now.

Made of Love --> Cosmic Love

Just thought it was interesting how over the years I went back in time in terms of Trance instead of listening forward.

Yeah that is interesting, considering how much quality trance is released these days.

And you know he went when people are discussing the repetitiveness of the LYRICS of his tracks :stongue:

I Heart Ferry. Just Listen to his Live Sets, or Productions, or Remixes. He does it all.

Trance itself died/changed when Vocals took over, so thats when I slowed my listening in general. Don't blame it on Ferry. He has his own style and holds it down better than any other.

WHOOT!

*see sig*

Anyhow, Ferry is going through a lull. He career has been full of them. He blew up, faded away, blew up again in the mid-2000s, and has been fading away the last 2-3 years again. During these lulls his record box seems to never be updated as he'll play a similar set a year or two apart. Not much new stuff.

There are many people who don't like the direction he has taken. I can udnerstand that. But at the same time, at least he's doing his own thing and going the direction he wants to go and not going the route (at least yet) of doing things that cater to more of the mass-market audience.

07. Body Shock - Full Moon (Original Mix)
08. System F - Cry (DotNL Mix)
09. Luis Paris - Incantation (Original Mix)
10. Push - Till We Meet Again (Album Mix)

Yeah because his recent stuff doesn't cater to a larger audience. LOL.

Though I went gaga for his stuff back in the day (Albion-Air, Veracocha-Carte Blanche, Gouryella-Gouryella, Fire, LEF), I haven't been keeping up with him much. He's a very personable and amicable fellow though.
GUBostonDubs
I loved the Albion stuff and System F (when I was much much younger). I haven't really played any trancey stuff at all in years and years.

"Air" and his remix of "Calling Your Name" were DOPE!
