Nice kick.
The track any real funk or groove to it though, especially in the bass department and needs that to work.
Given the melodic arrangement you need something very creative to make this track work in terms of bass as the main melody in its own right doesn't hold enough interest.
I know there is a bassline in there but you have stripped too much off the bottom end. If you need to get creative on the bass, shorten the tail of the kick.
