a few retro nights in the city. no "classics" theme though, those tracks are played even today. and local djs too -- there's enough talent that has fallen off the radar because the times have changed.
i guess the big problem would be promoting this kind of event. if it's advertised as "classic" trance (or house/techno/new-wave/whatever you can think of) then alot of the pull would be people would expecting to hear those really well-known tracks like Cafe del Mar.
i'm curious if promoters have any experience with these kinds of nights, what kind of crowd they tend to bring, for what reasons, because i don't see why it can't be done. (maybe the crowd isn't so much into drinking and there isn't much room for money to be made?) |

| Not a bad idea i'd love to hit up a party with music i haven't heard in a while,and of course with local Dj's, would be an awesome night |
