I've been reading a lot of George R.R. Martin and I assumed that he uses nameday to mean birthday, or the day in which one receives his/her name. Apparently it's used as celebrating the day of the year associated with one's name, which varies by country. /shrug |

Makes sense in terms of the fantasy series but in real life I thought it meant actual nameday, as in Christian Orthodoxy. The day the saint you were named after (usually) is your name day (Mine's on Christmas). Meh. Like it matters.
Happy B Day. :D |
